At the shooting gallery

Enjoyed the Vanity Fair exhibition at The National Portrait Gallery: some great images, especially the older ones. What's also striking is how many people, obviously famous in their time, you've never heard of. Perhaps that's the vanity part of it?

More enduring than fame is this Stuart's sign in the pavement outside the gallery. I've always thought "granolithic" would be an excellent word to describe being really, really drunk.

If only I could remember it when I'm drunk.

Apologies to reidar, who - I'm fairly sure - has blipped this sign before.
