My Northumberland Life

Tynemouth Pier

This is the North pier at the mouth of the river Tyne. I sat and ate my sandwich with this view at lunch today - it was a lovely, calm sunny day.
My dad and I used to walk the length of this pier when I was little, I used to think it was ever such a long way - I was right!
On a more sombre note, my father wants his ashes scattered off the end of here (hopefully a loooonnnngggg time in the future), but "only when there's an easterly wind or they'll blow back in your face!".
