Ok, this is quite an boring blip but it had to be done....two conjoined mushrooms..shitake to be exact. And they were delicious.

But mushrooms grow quickly, supported by a huge network and are amazing

and tonight was amazing.

Scottish Opera, working with Eden Court outreach David Hunter, helped Thurso High School pupils produce an Opera in a Day.

Yes...the kids went to Skinandi's nightclub at 9am this morning, and at 8pm they put on a show. An opera....created from scratch. They knew all their words, were in great costume, knew their songs, the musicians played their music and the technicians did their stuff. This morning they only had an inkling of what they wanted to do...but by this evening they had written it all and produced it.

Nisseriss was the name of the opera. On 29th February, every leap year, one soul was stolen ...in an abandoned nightclub three children happen upon a shadowy figure who takes them back in time to see the souls being taken...before they meet their own grizzly end.

It was brilliant, well played and professional. They should all be proud...I only wish we could see it again :)

(btw.....my darling daughter played a clown...in curly orange wig & clown make-up....thats bad enough...but then she put on a white faceless mask. eek!)
