One of the Elite

He's one of the elite, is this fish;
you can tell by the swish of his tail
as he swims round his tank,
outranking the loach, who will hide
behind rocks, not encroaching on space
that belongs to his honourable mate.

He's undoubtedly posh, is this fish;
it is clear by the curve that he cuts
as he swerves through the weed,
outspeeding the sedentary loach.
He's outlived his eponymous spot,
and should now be named . . . what?

If he changed his name, what do you think he should change it to? (He's my daughter's goldfish, currently residing with us, so I think, in fact, he will stick with his original name, however ironic it may sound.)

This is what Spot looked like ten months ago.

One of these days I will try and blip Spot's companion, Papa Loach, but he's harder to photograph as he's so shy.
