decorated chimney pots

Some fine crown chimney pots seen on a building in Sleaford, Lincolnshire. Made in days of yore when craftsmanship mattered and finishing a building off was expected and done with pride. These are probably late 19th century made from local clay.
Nowadays we are more than likely to find them as decorative plant pots in the garden than on a chimney stack.
