Another one bites the dust (Sun Inn, Hartlepool)

The sorry state of English pubs, takes another dive.

The Sun Inn, in Hartlepool, has been closed down for about 20 month.

It did get a reputation as a bit of a rough place, but surely it could have been converted into a house or flats or something. In fact, I know that someone put in plans to convert it, but they were knocked back.

I understand the worries of the local residents that live around it, but I'm fairly sure that it could have been saved.

Another piece of the Headland heritage on it's way out.
