St David's Day

OK, I know it's predictable and corny, but heh...

Leeks and daffodils, not often seen in juxtaposition, so that's different! The garden daffs in our garden have not flowered yet, close, but not quite - lazy I call it! But this pot of mini daffodils from Morrison's are doing really well, and calling out for a blip with a pair of leeks.

The leeks were actually bought for tomorrow's tea - Mixed Mushroom Frittata see here.

Today is a day of contrasts; it started foggy, damp and cold and turned lovely in the afternoon. So nice we took Dylan out for a coffee from the Baguette Barge on Bancroft Gardens, first outside coffee this year.

"In like a lion, out like a lamb" the saying goes - not sure what that means for the rest on the month.
