Sitting Out

Such a lovely day, warm sunshine and sparkling sea. Did a bit more weeding and the garden is looking great. I love to see black soil, freshly turned over, to see the buds starting to open, the bulbs coming up and little bits of green appearing after the rain, the mud and the chilliness of the last couple of months.

Mike has been off work for the last few days, cracking on with the extension. It's looking great, and so much bigger now the plasterboard is on the walls. Late afternoon I lit the chimenea and burned lots of offcuts of wood from the new room as well as the last remnants of the Christmas tree! We sat outside and enjoyed the heat and watched the birds deciding which nest box to choose!
