Apparently it's going to have more insulation put into the roof to make it more energy efficient and a new ceiling which will do the same and work better.

So reading between the lines they appointed a contractor who skimped on the spec to be cheapest (because we always look at the bottom line not assessing value for money because that would require someone to actually think) and also omitted to put in any insulation in a cost cutting exercise.

I do hope I don't sound too cynical
