60 years apart

I was looking at one of yesterdays world book day books and was asked for help in an essay, 'what should I put in instead of...' so got out this book of synonyms and realised I had a distinct contrast.
I love books and wish 'old' books had as much weighting as 'new' books, but there is a preference for replaceing books as soon as they are 3 or 4 years old and while I agree tatty old fiction stock isn't pretty, I bemoan the loss of lovely old reference books.
I plan to keep as many of my 'good' books as I can when the world changes in 2015!
