Leap year Quiz and Curry for Comfort Rwanda

Early morning trip to son number two's school to do a gate duty in my role as a governor. I talked to the staff as they greeted the students at the school gate and said my own good mornings to everyone. They are doing uniform checks and it was funny to see the girls pulling down their skirts to a more modest level as they went through the gate. No doubt they were hitched back up again as they got out of sight. There had been a power cut for some of the local houses that morning and I think a few alarm clocks had failed....the late comers were duly logged.

Lunch out with a business visitor and so no chance for a walk again.

We set up our new staff room for our leap year quiz. I think it went OK. We had 4 teams in the end. A few last minute cancellations meant we had far too much food. We heated up about half of it in our puny microwaves and had a feast - three different curries, poppadoms, pickles, samosas, bahjees, spicy onions and naan breads. We raised about £120 for Comfort Rwanda and may sell off the left overs tomorrow at lunchtime.

Admired the new sofa when I got home. Husband and son number two had already chosen their favourite spots in the L-shape.....Our measurements were correct and it does fit (hurrah!). Colour looks good too.
