The leaving of Liverpool

HMS Liverpool, a Type 42 Destroyer visited the city this weekend, never to be seen again!

Following 30 years service to the Royal Navy, HMS Liverpool is to be decommissioned and no plans for another HMS Liverpool have been made.

She saw service during the Iraq War and also off the coast of Libya against the Gaddafi regime, she was involved in numerous NATO exercises and was involved in anti drug smuggling in the Caribbean.

Liverpool people went to see the Liverpool to say "Goodbye".
