Compartmentalising

At mum's house this weekend to do a few chores. One of which was searching my dad's workshop for things we know he put in safe place but which we don't know exactly how safe his definition of a "safe place" actually was.

"It's quite obvious," he told us a while back. Dad's definition of obvious was unobvious.

For the most part, we were looking for something fairly innocuous. A gadget which makes little bricks by compressing soaked paper which mum thinks might save her a few pennies on the fuel bill. That's not what we were really looking for though, but given that we couldn't find that when we were actually looking for it a few weeks back, we decided to look for something else instead in the hope that we might find the more important stuff in passing.

So far, it's not a strategy which is working. Dad's workshop is not short of stuff or things.
