Gulls Galore

A fairly gorgeous sunset tonight, though it didn't quite seem to live up to its promise, so no clouds catching fire, which is what brought me to the beach in hope.

But what there was were thousands and thousands of gulls on the sand - all those wee dots of white you see at the waterfront is in fact a bird. The noise was so soothing, lovely against the big, cold sky.
