For my very first shot I did not hesitate in selecting a subject. My three year old brought home some cress he had grown at his Nursery. We all remember eating cress sandwiches in Primary School right, or is it just me?

I tried taking the picture in various surroundings, and with different backgrounds, but this simple shot on the side arm of the sofa works well I think - the thirds rule is nicely met.

In post-processing, I've added a medium-strong vignette and increased the greens hue and vibrance slightly to bring out the colour in the cress. The sharpness and clarity has been maxed out in the cress with an adjustment brush to highlight it further.
