Mahi Mahi

AKA Common dolphin fish, lampuga, lampuka, rakingo, calitos, maverikos or dorado.

Conditions were perfect this morning, flat calm and the sun was still reletively low for these latitudes. The polariser really cut the reflections to a minimum. We had 4 or 5 of these swiming round the ship ranging in size from 1 to 2 metres in length. This one I reckon was just over a metre.

Conditions were also good for fishing and Shane, our Irish 2nd Officer hooked this cracker that we had for Dinner (all 55 of the crew) Those of a sensitve disposition my not want to click that link.
