Stormy Take-off

Brisk winds of 25-30 knots coming straight up the harbour. A couple of float planes found it too rough to land and went on to the next stop in Maple Bay.

This left some passengers stranded who were going to Vancouver. SSAir's star pilot used the spare plane to take them out. Here you see him just coming around a break-water from one of the marinas. The take-off trajectory is not a straight line but slightly "S" shaped. (the advantages of a float plane)
