I happened to catch sight of a blog today which looked at various artists and craftspeople's studios or workplaces

I was struck by the orderly way they had everything set out, in some cases a work of art in itself

I'd love to be organised like that, but it's never going to happen

These are new shelves up in the attic - recently cleared of bags and bags of redundant paperwork. Already you can see signs of my attempt to impose order being subverted by my tendency to put things down any old where
