Just the ticket

Down to Sydney to pick up son Tom for an appointment and was a little early so decided to talk a stroll along the foreshore at Glebe. This is the old crane that was used by Stride's Yard, an industrial site that survived until the 1980s. The Yard broke up coastal steamers to recycle metals. The crane removed the engines.

I got back to my car to discover I had a parking ticket as I had parked front to kerb, like everyone else, not rear to kerb.

I would have enjoyed putting the crane to use again, removing the park ticket officers engine. Or something similar.

I have never understood that rear to kerb nonsense. What's the difference?

Apart from a ticket.
