Cathedral

Looking up at the ceiling inside the St Edmundsbury Cathedral.

The fan-vaulted ceiling, made of oak, gilded and painted in blue, green and red, weighs about 6 tonnes!

But that's nothing. The organ, visible through the right hand arch, weighs in at 16 tonnes! The longest pipes are 32 feet in length and the intstrument contains almost 30km of wiring.
