True Blue

Anemone blanda is popping up all over the place! It is just the perfect blue, a great foil for all the golden daffodils ... or at least it would be if it were bigger! Sometimes called the Grecian Windflower, it is native to southeastern Europe, Turkey, Lebanon and Syria. Growing from a small knobbly tuber, it is happy in my light sandy soil and it sometimes seeds around, making bold clumps.
