Rangers FC update: Players most notably McGregor, Whittaker and Naismith have agreed 75% cuts until the end of the season. This has 'saved' ALL of the backroom staff until the end of season at least. Massive gesture from the big earners 'who don't do walking away'. Well not at least until the transfer window opens again.

Chink of light perhaps for Falkirk. SPL rules state that IF Rangers are liquidated and NOT allowed back into the SPL (6 man board to determine that one - shocking if 'Newco; Rangers are allowed back into SPL) Dunfermline will NOT be saved from relegation. They will go down, and 1st and 2nd will come up from the First. Falkirk are currently 2nd. However I wouldn't want to get into the SPL in its current format. We must reconstruct and we must remove the 11-1 voting structure. Steven Pressley spoke well this week on 'Scottish Football : The Great Debate'. Neil Doncaster on the other hand did not, dismissing a larger league as a £20 million lost revenue for the SPL. No further detail given on those figures.
