Seeds

The house is a clutter of to-do notes, pictures, memorabilia; just stuff that all needs to be processed somehow. Looking through Dad's things at the farm my youngest sister found these. Among his gardening supplies Dad had saved this can of seed peas and and "U.S.A corn." The label on the envelope is in my Granddad's handwriting. The corn must have come back from a trip home to Nebraska a very long time ago. The peas probably aren't a lot younger. Grandpa John died in 1967 so I expect germination would be pretty poor but I'm really tempted to try.
