Rose & Crown

Cheered myself up after yesterday's slough of despond by continuing my photographic pub crawl - no imbibing (well, not much) just photographing local pubs and pub signs. Today its the Rose & Crown in Fletching. A traditional family-run village pub. Its been here since about 1150, having opened in the reign of King Stephen. Renovations were carried out in 1939 to the 800 year old wattle and daub back wall - bits of which can still be seen.
