Screen

I went to the V&A in London today for the first time for ages. I'd forgotten what a brilliant place it is. The plan was to see two very small exhibitions - the first was of two garments made from the silk of over a million golden orb-weaver spiders. It's much stronger than the silk of silkworms, but these spiders are hard to farm because they are cannibalistic. The thread on display looked genuinely gold and the garments were a deep yellow.
The second was a room of ceramics by Ai Wei Wei.
Both were fascinating, but my very many photos were blipped at the post by the detail of this glass and metal screen, from the new acquisitions room.
