Boomtown China

Shabu, shabu

Tomoki-san adds vegetables to a traditional Japanese kind of hot pot called shabu, shabu. A popoular dish in the winter. It was down to 11 degrees c today.

Sushi is never very good in China it's often either served at room temperature or prepared from frozen or both. I've a couple of work colleagues who've had the runs big time from Japanese food in China. They never listen...

Tomoki's lived in China for 8 years and works for a Japanese rally team supplier. He's in his late 20s and actually single - this quite rare in China (being single that is)
