Planetary Conjunctions

"When it is dark enough, you can see the stars." ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

*

Everyone has been all agog over the visible planetary conjunction of Venus and Jupiter (viewed most brightly in the four hour window just after sunset this weekend until the end of the month, but with March 15 being the exact date of their conjunction).

Indeed, they were bright and intensely beautiful tonight when I snapped this photo from our back deck.

Whether or not this is another herald of the Age of Aquarius, or of some other global shift of astro-seismic proportions, I don't know. But it's certainly a reminder that there are many other vast and mysterious worlds that exist besides our own.

On another note, I continue with writing (at least) a poem a day (470 ++ days now) at Dave Bonta's VIA NEGATIVA site. Here is today's poem. Please stop by and read, and perhaps drop a comment or two.

Namaste.
