Sugar Flowers?

As the last of the crocuses fade away the alpines take centre stage. Here Primula marginata a dew dusted confection.

This plant, a dwarf form, has been growing in a trough for the last 15 years, making a fine display of flowers every spring. The growth gets woody and a bit leggy as the years go by, but it is still a beauty.

You'll have worked out that it is an easy plant to keep and also it is easy to propagate from cuttings. Plenty more alpine gems to come!
