Jean Batten's Percival Gull

This little aircraft is displayed in Auckland International air terminal and a statue commemorating this famous avaitrix is displayed outside the terminal.
We had some four hours to wait for our flight south and we spend much of that time pacing between the domestic and international terminals. Well, after 10 hours crossing to LA and a further 13(!) crossing the Pacific, the last thing we were wanting to do was to sit down!
