Day 396

Last night was a family get together for a surprise 70th birthday party for Aunty Val. A good time had by all.

On the journey home today, we were talking about childhood memories.
So here we are, looking out over the water towards the Kent coastline whilst eating our tray of cockles from the cockle sheds at Leigh on Sea. Just seemed easier to visit rather than try to describe it!
I remember my Grandparents taking us here as children and it doesn't seem to have changed one bit.
A lovely sunny day, but still freezing cold!
