Carabus nemoralis

Let me introduce you to my new friend. This is Mr. Hlunkur, a ground beetle that lives in my greenhouse. I hope he will grow into a big fat beetle and will attack snails and lice and other intruders in my garden (he or she is just a baby and still growing).

We dont have much variety of wildlife over here so catching this guy made a nice blip for today. This is the biggest insect over here I think and you can just find them in my village (and few other places) - probably because of all the heat in the ground. People are terrified of them because we are not used to anything like this :)

So finally I think spring is around the corner :D
