Magnolia Tree

- Normally this tree does not bloom until early to mid-April. As you can see, it is full of flowers. While the blooms are beautiful, they have strange odor (not good or bad) and make a mess when they fall off the tree.

Fortunately this tree is in my neighbors yard so I can enjoy the beauty and don't have to clean up afterwards.

Another beautiful sunny day with a high of 75. The nice weather is supposed to be around through the weekend with a chance of showers Friday or Saturday. I'm hoping to go into DC on Saturday or Sunday and get some early pictures of the cherry blossoms (estimated date for full bloom has been moved up to 3/20/2012) .
