quiet evening

rather busy day today. went out to the marketplace looking for some backpacks and sleeping bags for my trekking club. also got my Nikkor 50mm F1.8 prime lens - have been planning for a while about that. then movie and lazing around in a popular hang around place in the city.
rained pretty hard during the later part of the evening. was worried about my camera but thankfully everything's safe.

this shot is from the kit lens (18-135mm). for a change, this shot is straight out of the camera - no processing at all, except size reduction for easy upload.

I will be experimenting quite a bit with my new prime in the days to come.
