Was It Really So Long Ago

G is for ... Genova

A trip to Italy has dominated this week. Starting in Genova, I suggested to my collega Italiano that we meet during the evening to socialise the main topics ahead and to catch up as it has been a long time since we were last together.

In the end, I had the full tour, including tales of the Grimaldi family, founding of the oldest bank in the world, Banco di San Giorgio as it was founded in 1407, playing an important role in the city and the house belonging to Christopher Colombus.

After Genova came Roma. More on that in another blip. For now, here is the view from the bar on the promenade. Oh and I recommend focaccia formaggi. Delicioso!
