When it Rains -----

Well sometimes it truly pours, and it literally poured outside the hospital room window! The blood culture was positive again so the staph is still active - the treatment plan is to be in hospital through the weekend, today is day 21 of this journey. The anti-biotic that was killing it prior to last weekend's short "leave" requires 6 infusions a day every 4 hours and that cannot be done at home. The anti-biotic that allowed for leaving hospital clearly was not doing the job, hence the resurgence.

No one is willing to say what happens after Monday of next week, however skilled nursing home is talked of as one course 'til this thing is good and gone. This is a tough one to swallow - hence we feel like we are getting a downpour of setbacks. At the same time, if T. is to be healthy the staph must die. Die staph die!
