Man You Will Labour

For anyone who is interested, the (Chinglish) pic from yesterday was taken in a bus and it's on the door.. I am sure it means, "Mind your feet". So if anyone guessed something like that.. congrats. hehehe

Today's pic is once again taken from the balcony at my school and has so many, many 'Chinese' things in it.. They are repaving the footpath along the street. They didn't use any machinery at all. The blocks and old pavers were removed using picks and hands, everything was dug out with shovels and then put back using the same manual labour.

At the bottom of the pic you can see where a guy is mixing cement with a shovel and the 'barrow' they then use to move the cement along the street is sitting at the edge of the sand pile. They use a shovel to get it into the barrow.

The guy in the middle of the street is delvering some type of frame that's not related but there is no motor on the cart, it's all peddle power. I am not sure if you can see in the smaller pic, but inside his wheel there are empty soda bottle which he has collected in his travels and will get a small refund on.

The guys at the top are getting ready to replace the edging of the pavers.. The large blocks are moved by hand and then traditional paving methods (sand and hitting) gets them in to place.

I wonder how many Council Workers elsewhere do this stuff ALL by hand?
