Looked after a 96-year old confused man last night. When I tucked him comfortably to bed, he uttered these words:

"Your scent is as lovely as a rose,
Your smile is as radiant as the sunshine
Your hands so soft to touch
Your voice like a melody to my ears.
Thank you for your kindness
I wish you'll forever be mine."

I was not wearing any perfume or cologne and he is technically blind. He is just a sweetie. God bless his heart!

I am most thankful and privileged to be able to take care and look after other people. I have probably done something to hear such beautiful words!

Time to park my pen and name badge. It was full on yet a rewarding shift.
