Kite surfer

I find photographing kite surfers easy on the one hand - their path is predictable and all you have to do is follow. On the other hand it would be nice to get the colourful kite in the image too - but then the picture reduces to nothing with lots of background distraction. Perhaps a slow shutter sped and blurr might be an option?
