Learning from our mistakes

We tried to drive into Port Isaac today. Drove out again, parked in Port Quin and walked in. Why does that seem familiar?
What we didn't know was that as well as being a pretty fishing port it is also the location for filming the Doc Martin TV series. When people were posing to have their photos taken outside one of the houses I assumed it was probably one of Daphne Du Maurier's gaffs but it turns out it's Martin Clunes they are idolising. I should have realised - Daphne Du Maurier isn't on the telly!
