Southern Motorway

This is/will soon be part of Christchurch's Southern Motorway, diverting traffic (especially trucks) from well used streets and allowing them to go from the port to the South more easily. We can walk (a decent walk I am pleased to say!) from our place to this bit.

Once up this should make my travel to work easier.

This project was started before the quakes which stopped work for a while but it seems to have been full steam ahead for some time now.
