High Living

Last day in Hong Kong and enjoying the good life before we get the overnight flight to Oz.

After spending the morning at the Ladies Market and local wet market (where the fish lay on the slabs sliced in half with their hearts still beating!! now added but not for the squeamish!) it was off to the Peninsula Hotel for afternoon tea. Apparently this is a must in Hong Kong and even I had to admit it was worth the 1 hour wait for the splendour of cucumber sandwiches, scones with cream and jam and mini cakes.

From there we headed to Kowloon station where we checked in our bags. Quite incredible checking in in the middle of the city and being all ready to go. We have 3 hours before we have to get the express train to the airport, so decided to head to the Ritz Carlton for a drink. The bar is the highest in the World and is situated on the 118th floor (almost as high as the peak on Hong Kong Island!) As we sip our drinks (and you have to sip at the price they are!!) this is the view we are looking down all.

Nice barman logged us onto the wi-fi so I could get this posted (must give him a wee tip!)

Next stop Oz!
