Wentworth Street

Portree's High Street at twenty minutes to seven this evening. As you can see the evenings are now drawing out. I was on my way to collect our supper. Neither of us could think of somewhere that we wanted to go out to dine at that was open for service tonight.

You might think that we, being restaurateurs, would always eat only in the best eateries but like all people we also like a regular fish supper (Fish & Chips) or a take away, carry out, t'go or whatever you like to called it in your neck of the woods.

So tonight it was a visit to 'The Fat Panda' for a Chinese meal to eat at home. This we had and accompanied it with a glass of Thistly Cross Cider each. Although I say it myself it was a great slum-in watching 'Coast', 'University Challege Final' and a fabulous English cook living and working in Paris, trained as and now serving french food with her own twist. Wonderful!

Interestingly one of the questions on Uni. Challenge was; 'What is the Hebridean Island, the lartgest of all of the Inner Hebrides, whose principle town is Portree? Manchester who won the competition got the answer wrong. Well you can't know everything.
