Pigeon Shower

Nipped out to St Paul's again at lunchtime intending to shoot the Magnolia trees starting bloom in the churchyard but spotted this pigeon taking a shower under the sprinkler (I thought there was a hosepipe ban? perhaps it doesn't apply to churches?).

Anyway the pigeon was sitting on the path really enjoying itself (himself? herself? - don't know how to tell the gender of pigeons) under the sprinkler. The funny thing was - just after taking this shot it flew off showering the nearby city folks enjoying their lunches in the sunshine with water of a pigeons back (and wings, and tail).
