Newtons apple tree

Today we went to Woolsthorpe, the home of Isaac Newton. This is the view for the window where he did some of his work on optics, looking out at the apple tree that caused him to think about gravity allegedly. It was quite amazing, to be there, in a private tour of the building (as I'm going to be helping out later in the year) and drinking coffee in his house.
We saw some places where he'd drawn on the wall, and a little gap in the window where he split light with prisms.
He was an odd chap all in all, but amazing to see this none the less
