Lovely warm sunny day, and we are subjected to this sort of activity!
Noisy! Dusty! All round &8$$£&*()))&^%.

In a few days time we are told we will have had the "carriageway resurfaced".
I'll certainly be glad when the "inconveniences" are over. The inconveniences are otherwise known in this house as the competition to see who can park the biggest, heaviest, dirtiest, and tar drippingest lorry furthest on to the pavement (or indeed the nice grass areas in front of the houses) without regard for elderly pedestrians, people pushing prams, or even the blind.
