Houseboats in Victoria, Vancouver Island

6am our alarm went off and we went by bus, sky train, ferry and bus again and arrived into Victoria, the provincial capital of British Columbia. It's been a beautiful sunny day, the blossom is out on the cherry trees. We ate lunch outside, which may be the first time this year we've been able to. We had fish & chips from Red Fish, Blue Fish and sat watching sea planes and tug boats from the que side.

It's been a very social day, we got chatting to a couple on the ferry this morning and found ourselves amongst a group of cycling enthusiasts on the bus to Victoria. We had sushi for tea and got chatting to the japanese chef who gave us loads of freebies!

This blip is the houseboats moored a few minutes walk from the parliament buildings. They are less boats and more actual floating houses, each on an individual platform. Just next to these were a pair of very tame seals, who took fish straight from a persons hand!

Tomorrow Tofino after a lie in!
