Chain of events

On the way to work this morning, I took a shot of this spherical object.

Later, I felt compelled to turn a picture of a starry snow-globe into this.

Could the two events be linked? Possibly.

Does anyone care? Possibly not.

If it's any kind of chain, it's probably this kind of chain.
