Staffordshire Saxon

Heres a picture of the studio tour of artist Andy Edwards that concluded the feasibility visioning session I helped facilitate for the sculptural project called The Staffordshire Saxon.

The project commissioned by Stoke-on-Trent City Council is of course linked to the Staffordshire Hoard . The Hoard is co-hosted at the Potteries Museum & Art Gallery and this is where the statue will end up.

If you look carefully you will also see Adrian the Saxon Enactment enthusiast in the corner in full regalia. I had a nice picture of him on a mobile phone but he asked me not to upload it online (He carried a sword and several daggers so I obliged). Also notice the wild Boar on the statues helmet. The artist says that particular bit is authentic but like Marmite - in that you will either love it or hate it. What do you think?
