Mothering Sunday

It was my Mum's day and my day too...

Drove down to see Mum for the day.

Arrived just in time for a quick coffee.

Then a dash to Tessa's Tea Rooms for our pre-booked lunch (for two).

Shot back home in time to receive Mum's grocery delivery.

Followed by a toddle over to the sea front to have coffee (and a small caramel slice, I confess) at Sail's, as it was their very last day under the current ownership and Mum wanted to say farewell.

Back at the house, just time to sort out a few computer-ish things for Mum, then...

Lo! It was time for a round of sandwiches and a cup of tea.

Setting off at 6.30pm, this was the view from the end of Mum's road looking towards Bournemouth.

A clear drive home and I got in at 8pm.

(Just in time to cook an evening meal for Mr A and The Boy - although they should have cooked it themselves methinks?)

"Didn't we have a lovely time...?"
