St Pancras roof

The train shed, completed in 1868 by the engineer William Henry Barlow, was the largest single-span structure built up to that time.

I could actually spend hours here and recently have had to come pretty regularly - an error in booking a ticket meant that I had to come up and collect it from here rather than Romford!

Apparently each section of arch was built on a wooden scaffold that was moved down the station section by section.

Simply fantastic engineering and a beautiful space
